Still got the bug!

Well, this stomach bug, if that's what it is, is still hanging on at our house. It is the darnest thing. Just about every 3-4 days, someone ends up throwing up, usually at night or first thing in the morning. Then they feel fine and life goes on. This week it was Sean barfing on Tuesday and then again on Friday morning. So Daddy took them to the doctors and got some blood work done, basically to just try and rule out something, what, I don't know? All the doctors are completely baffled. This has gone on for 5 weeks now!!! I had the fire department come out and check the carbon monoxide levels to see if that was causing problems, but everything checked out okay.
Hopefully, this will all pass, soon!

Happy Birthday!

Ahren's birthday is this weekend (Sunday) and she is soooo excited. She is getting the American Girl doll, Marisol from Mom and Dad (it is on backorder, grrrr). She got a matching outfit for herself that matches Marisol's outfit and she loves it! She also got Marisol's kitty, and duffle bag and a ballet outfit for Marisol. She got some books from her cousin and a craft kit. So far, she is quite happy. Her other grandma is coming out this week and she can't wait. Then next weekend is her friend party. It is a survivor theme, I don't know how we are going to get everything finished in time. The basement is trashed and the garage still needs to be cleaned out, in case of rain. It will be a busy week!

Recovering

This past week the stomach bug has been making it's way through our family. Sean started with throwing up around 3am on Tuesday morning. So Wednesday, I stayed home from work with him. By Thursday he was doing better and ready to go back to school on Friday. Then Friday morning around 5:30am I woke up feeling sick, even tried taking a shower to help myself feel better - didn't work, soon I was throwing up and running to the bathroom every 15 minutes - not fun. So Friday I had to stay home from work again. The weekend we basically took it easy and didn't do too much. Everyone seemed to be okay, until Monday morning. Ahren was complaining that her tummy hurt, but it didn't seem really terrible, so I was encouraging her to go to school, when all of a sudden, "blahhhhh" she proved me wrong. So I called Pete and he came home from work so I go in to work (I missed 2 out of my 3 scheduled days last week, remember?), then when I got home, he went back to work.

I think that finally everyone should be over everything. This morning (Tuesday) Ahren did throw up a little bit more, but otherwise she has been puke-free since Monday at noon. The kids even went outside for a little bit today since it is absolutely beautiful!!!

It's been good to open the windows and let in some fresh air!
