Here is the progress on the Baby Einstein. I think the sleeves might be a little bit too short (or at least the one that I've done already). Perhaps it can be a 3/4 length?? :)

I finally decided to give up on Jen's Poncho and began frogging it. Then I kept seeing so many people wearing ponchos and finding myself drooling over them. I decided to try and find another pattern for my poncho. I settled on the Mod Cape in the book Stitch 'n' Bitch. So far I love it!! It is completely in the round -- just my style and it is flying along on the size 15 needles. Here's a pic so far:

Here is a picture of one of the felted bags I've made recently. This one is probably one of my favorites. I made it for my mil, Helen. The colorway is natural/chocolate/black. This past weekend we went out to dinner for her birthday. I love the way it came out.

What an incredible week. I don't know when things will return to normal. It started off with dh not feeling well on Monday morning, ended up in the ER, where they ran a bunch of tests, including a spinal tap. It turns out that his Atkins diet has been effecting his medication and caused some complications. He is not too happy to have to quit the diet since he was really doing well on it, but the alternative is worse.

Knitting-wise, all this time spent at the hospital and doctor's appointments has given lots of knitting time. (Trying to look at the bright side). I finished the Einstein Coat although I still have to sew the buttons on. The buttons are really cool, they are black with a grey spiral design, anyone who knows me knows that I love spirals (even have a spiral tat on my ankle). The coat looks good. Here are some pics:

I even started on a Baby Einstein Coat for my neice/nephew to be. What a difference from working on an adult coat to a baby coat - talk about flying - whee! Here's a peek:

I felted another bag, although I still need to do the I-cord straps, but I think by this weekend I should be done with that.
