Finished!

I can't believe that I finally finished the Hip Wrap with Eros that I started, oh, probably about a year ago! And it really isn't all that complicated of a pattern. It felt so good to finish a project, I should really do it more often. :)

I should really finish up the other poncho for my neice - all I need to do is the castoff and add the fringe.

I've been cruising along on the Tee (I have both sleeves finished and have started the back). I luckily found 3 more skeins of Cotton Fleece in the same color so I should have enough, I hope! Since the pattern doesn't state the yardage (only the number of skeins) I'm not exactly sure.

Hoppy Easter (for those who celebrate)!

The LLL CT Area Conference was a lovely weekend and I think I am finally recoup'ed from it. I was very happy that the Candlelight Ceremony went fairly smoothly. There were a few little flubs, but nothing tragic. On Saturday I wore my Cobweb shawl which was a huge hit. I wish I had a decent picture of me wearing it. :(

I have begun working on my latest summer project: Nothin' But a TShirt from Magknit.com. My only problem is that I started using come leftover Cotton Fleece that I love and then realized I probably won't have enough, so I went to the ole trusty yarn store to pick up some more - thinking that they would be getting in their summer weight yarns only to find out that they aren't going to carry Lamb's Pride Cotton Fleece this year. :( Apparently, it didn't sell well and they aren't going to reorder it. I will need to double check and see if there is any more leftover lurking in my closet.

Almost ready!

Well, the car is almost packed, just 2 bags left to put in the trunk. So I'm almost ready to go to our LLL Area Conference. And then....Ahren starts throwing up. :( In walks (er, drives) Daddy to the rescue. Pete is on his way home to stay with Ahren, so that I can go to work and then leave directly to go to the Conference (I'm going solo this year - gotta save money).

Hopefully the whole house won't get sick. Especially, since Pete is watching the cousins overnight on Saturday. :((((

Send him some calming, soothing vibes! He could use them.

I know, I know....

I've been rather MIA lately. Time has just been flying by and not leaving me much time to catch up on anything, especially my blog. :(

Right now, I really should be working on preparations for the breastfeeding/parenting conference that I'm speaking at this weekend. I am leading the candlelight ceremony for the newly accredited Leaders since the last conference and also presenting two sessions. I have most of my stuff all planned, except that I still need to gather it all one spot and remember to pack it all!

I am donating two booga style felted bags that I've made. One that is the typical size, but is fuschia with a strand of Eros carried along - it gives such an awesome confetti look that I really love. I also have a larger size that is more of variations of teal. I have a newborn size wool diaper cover that I'm hoping I can finish up weaving in the ends and sewing on the buttons, because it is really cute and I think should do fairly well at the silent auction.

Knitting-wise, I've been plugging away on Pete's Aran sweater, but it is slow going, since I don't work on it all the time. I've also done one girls poncho for a friends daughter and another for my sisters daughter - I still have one more on the needles for her sister. I have truly fallen in love with Cascade Tweed 109 --- OMG!!! What a joy to work with!! And I love the finished fabric with the pops of color in the tweed.

Okay, so back to work and planning for packing.
