Whew! Been a while....
Okay, so considering I've now retired from a good many activities, namely being president of our church, that means I should have all kinds of time on my hands, right? ha!
So a brief (yeah, right) update on everything lately. Election Day '08 was not only thrilling for the historical election (GObama!), but it was also the day that we got an offer on our house. Yippee! Fast forward to mid-December and you are at Moving Day!!! (Good bye NFH!!! Really, we won't miss you!!!) Woo Hoo!! A week after we moved (mind you, in our old house, we lived across the street from my mil), my mil had a bit of a problem with her furnance, and to warm the house she attempted to start a fire in the fireplace with the damper closed which caused us to have some concern about her ability to stay in her house independently. After talking with dh's sister and brother, the decision was made that she could no longer live independently in her home. We offered to have her move in with us. (This was only possible because of our move - our old house was more like a large cottage and wouldn't have been accomadating for her.) So 3 weeks after we moved in here, we had Jim, our contractor back to make the necessary modifications for her to move in. Right now we are 1 week from D-Day! We have also increased the amount of the home care that she gets, which brings in a whole 'nother round of issues - but that's for another post.
Now....to decide what rooms I want to paint this summer and to pick out colors.
