In happier news...

Today I spoke with my bil tonight about the kitchen renovations that he will be helping us with over the holiday vacation. I get almost giddy with picking out some new cabinets and new paint and flooring. He will knocking out the wall between the kitchen and the connected half bath, then bumping out the upper portion of the wall to incorporate upper cabinets and a countertop. We can't install lower cabinets because that runs into the staircase to the basement. Eventually, when we have the funds, we will replace/update the rest of the cabinets in the kitchen so they will all match, for now we will just go with something complimentary.

Tomorrow, I have a Professional Development Day, which would typically mean that I'd be going to workshops and trainings with other teachers in the school, but since the other teachers are doing Parent Teacher Conferences, we don't have any trainings to go to, so me and Jaime, the other teacher will be cleaning out the massive closet/storage room and trying to get some resemblance of order to it. I'm actually rather excited about it. Nothing like a little manual labor, hard work and accomplishment to clear your mind. :)
