hmmm, so? what's new?

As I've been trying (sometimes struggling) with something to write about each and every day this month, I'm reminded of a conversation that I had with someone several months back. While making small talk, we were talking about upcoming plans for the weekend (or something, I don't remember the details) and then the other person said something, 'oh man, now what will have to talk about on Friday?' - I think I said something like, 'oh, we'll think of something'. And we usually did. That makes me smile. :)

So my mental checklist of things to talk about in this here blog is feeling like it's getting thin. A guess that part of this is that the reality of my life seems boring (even to me at times). This past weekend was an especially low point feeling the weight of the world on my shoulders and really just wanting to run away from it all. But Sunday night is here and the new week about to begin -- so I will dig out my Happy Face and get ready to do my best acting and pretend that life is all normal and happy and I have no problems. Really, I will be okay, I'm pretty good at pretending that all is well and I usually end up convincing myself of that too. I think they call that Fake It Till You Make It.

So as not to be a complete downer - I offer you a helpful link. It's called Menus 4 Moms. Although Dads or singles could use it as well. It has FREE menus and grocery lists for 5 days each week, it utilizes leftovers into some of the nights meals.

Barbara,

you might enjoy The Daile Meme ... I've noticed several bloggers using it. Mary-LUE of Life, the Universe and Everything is using them to her advantage.

How'd the 15 min thing go?
