Day 1

The first day of NaBloPoMo -- and I'm so stacked with meetings and appointments, even though I have to leave in 15 minutes, I figured that this is my only opportunity to post something, so this is it!

Here's a little kernel about the Sunday accident: I was hit from behind while waiting to turn left. The guy who hit me had no insurance, no driver's license. No one was hurt, I didn't (regretfully) call the police. I took the car in for an estimate, we have a $500 deductible. A new bumper will be (you guessed it) -- $535!! Sheesh, if it's going to be over the deductible, it could at least be a couple hundred over the deductible!! So there goes $500 that we don't have in the first place. The rental car requires a credit card (we've already gotten rid of all our credit cards) or if you use a debit card, they charge either $75 or $200 (depending on whether or not the insurance company sent them payment) which gets charged to the card and refunded when you return the car, so I will also need to find another $75/$200.

I'm now getting ready to leave for a meeting at school - it's just the Exec Board, so they don't have babysitting, but I have to bring the kids anyway, so hopefully they won't fight with each other too much.
