I just can't resist...
You know the Verizon commercial with the guy in the grey jacket standing with 'the network' behind him and the customer trying to be conned by the 'other carrier' who is standing in front of the largely cardboard facade of a network. At the end the customer knocks over the cardboard cutouts and the 'other carrier' says something like, "yeah, we haven't worked out everything yet."
It just seems to remind me of something....what is it? ....oh, I know a certain Web site that seems to have "not worked everything out yet". Give me a break! The last time that the Web site was redone (4 years ago?) the staff doing it was fairly minimal (I helped out a little converted some pages) and we (really my wonderful boss and coworkers) converted all the pages BEFORE we went live! Isn't that what would make sense? One would think. Honestly, right now it is so damn stark (and that is being kind) that it looks like there couldn't be any content and that it is a brand new site with minimal infomation - Not to mention it is hard to navigate, sterile and commerical looking. Blech, blech, blech!
(Maybe my eyes are just a symptom of my overall mood (at least regarding this) -- easily irritated. -- Then again, No - I think it is justifiably irritated!)

My plan is to not look at it unless I need it. And you know what, I haven't needed it one tiny bit since around the middle of June.
Where I work, we post things in draft form until they are completely finished and reviewed in three ways. No, things aren't always perfect, but the links all tend to function. The pages are pretty bland, though--perhaps the idea is to make the small, homey organization look more like an immense multinational corporation?
I thought we weren't supposed to say anything negative about it? ;o) Can you believe that mess has been made available to the general public? I can hear a great big flushing sound when I open it. I think it is the organization's reputation going down the toilet.
Take care
Sam
I dislike so much about it that I can't begin to detail it. I am embarrassed that I donated...wait, no, I was suckered into providing an investment into this venture without being given full information and no benefit when technology is marketed to vendors outside of this contract.
