Okay, so yes, it's been forever since I updated this blog. Just over a year to be precise. :( but I suppose that life has been keeping me too busy to write or knit or do terribly much that is purely recreational.

The short story: Fall of 2005, I started teaching at our local cooperative preschool. I simply love my job, the kids are great and life was been fairly good. With a first year as a head teacher, I have had no time at all to knit, which really does break my heart - this coming year, I really want to start again. But I think it will need to be simple, no-think items - hats, mittens, bags, etc. Nothing that is too dependent on sizing or gauge or those things that take too much thinking to make work.
This summer, I'm working on getting the room ready for this Fall. Because we merged with the school district in January, part of the arrangement is that we get our "old" rooms back, which is fantastic - they have windows, sinks, and bathrooms -- all of which we haven't for the past two years.

Ahren is doing theater camp for the month of July. They are going to performing the musical: Once on this Island Junior. Ahren's part is Storyteller #2. The last week of July is the performance week - I think there are 7 performances total. It is very exciting for her (and us).

Sean is doing VBS next week and the following week is doing Skyhawks camp. He is really looking forward to them both.

Then in August we are going camping - yeah! An actual vacation. We will be heading to Maine to two different state parks. Hopefully, the weather will hold out for us. But we will be sure to bring lots of bug spray, since it is likely that it will be mosquito heaven.
